COTEC approached us to develop a new identity for their new certificate Inovadora Evolution, derived from the existing Inovadora - an european innovation and Sustainability certificate for businesses in compliance with the new updated ESG standards.
The main theme for this project was obviously the need for evolution - a step forward not just for the brand but also for the future of sustainability and innovation in Europe as a whole. Concepts like “vitality”, “adaptability” and “transformation” are at the forehand of the new identity.
Rebranding
A couple conditions were required by COTEC, such as the use of the existing font and the recognition of the old brand in the new one. Easy peasy, right?
By correcting the original logo’s geometric inconsistencies we created a launchpad to the construction of the new one symbol. The result is a metamorphosys of the original logo hinting to the need of letting go of the old stiff moulds and encouraging transformation and adaptibility.
The color palette features electrifying yellows and greens which contrast nicely with darker, slightly blue tints - a reference to the commonly used ESG colors (Green = Environment, Blue = Social, Yellow = Governance), while still creating enough distance from the typical colors used in “sustainability” themes.
Digital Media
As a brand new initiative, Inovadora Evolution relies strongly on online registration, therefore it needs a strong digital presence as well as marketing campaign.
In collaboration with COTEC, our job focused mainly on encouraging new company registrations through impactful and engaging call-to-action content. A case study for their online platform was also delivered, in order to showcase the brand working across the entire process, from introduction to registration.
However, there was also a need to educate and promote awareness around european sustainability standards and their benefits, not only for businesses, but also for european citizens. This way, we developed different social media post typologies, each tailored to a specific audience and a specific purpose, as well as a recommended marketing approach for COTEC to follow.
